Role

This role has 3 distinct parts:

Project Initiation

• Understand the end to end business process, issues and challenges.
• Proper measurement of existing process.
• Identify the business strengths and weaknesses and suggest areas of improvement.
• Understanding the System functionality and areas of redundancies and improvement.
• Identify Project Dependencies.
• Ensuring that solutions are in line with client’s requirements as well as the companies goals.
• Preparation of “AS-IS” – “TO-BE” process maps
• Preparation and presentation of the Business Case
• Identify Risks and Benefits based on Feasibility Studies.
• Proper and detailed documentation of existing as well as proposed processes.
• Documentation of Business Requirement Specifications that are easily understood by all stakeholders.
• Documentation of Functional Specifications that are easily understood by the developers.

 

Project Implementation

• Obtaining Sign-off from the relevant stakeholders.
• Aligning project implementation with the IMS Governance policies.
• Ensuring that Change Control documents are completed and acknowledged by the relevant System Owners.
• Facilitation of workshops and JAD sessions
• Ensuring that there exists proper understanding between Technology and Business.
• Management of scope / functional changes as well as the required document changes.
• Manage day to day business process issues.
• The ability to compile adequate test cases based on user and functional requirements.
• Assist in system testing.
• Ensure proper logging of issues identified during testing as well as ensuring the resolution of these issues.
• Assist Project Manager during the Pilot Phase.
• Compiling of Training Content / User Manuals based on the size of the project.

Project Execution

• Assist with enforcing Project deadlines
• Assist with Roll-out and post rollout support (when required).
• Train the necessary support staff and where necessary users.
• Facilitate Post-project reviews


Requirements:
- Bsc Degree in computer Science
- 3 years relevant work experience

Technical Skills and Experience


• Solid Experience in the SDLC
• Proofing of concept design
• Preparation of feasibility studies and Business Cases
• UML experience is a advantageous
